Railway Station, Solec Kujawski

Stylish concrete external stairs, benches, plinths and fancifully arranged concrete slabs that are support points for the glazed and elegant body of the service point. This is how the modern railway station opened on 16 June 2016, with the function of an integrated transfer platform, in Solec Kujawski looks like. We are proud that Dasag products have become the basis on which the new showcase of the city, i.e. the modern station building, has been located. Especially since the extensive concrete stairs leading to the main building made the investment, located in the city center, a great meeting place for residents.

Aesthetics and functionality of concrete solutions

The modern, dynamic, spatial shape of the station captures the attention of travelers from all sides. However, the new investment was not only about exposing the aesthetic values of the place. Along with the building and the concrete stairs leading to it, a passenger information system, monitoring, parking lots for cars and bicycles (park & ride, bike & ride) and a bus bay were also built. The platforms were also rebuilt and the station square was developed. Already in 2018, the renovated station served about 1200 passengers per day.

The new design of the station is primarily the result of a change in the way of thinking about public transport, which has ceased to be perceived in terms of burdens and problems, and has become a space of new opportunities, functions and conveniences. After all, public transport is an ecological necessity and a response to the urbanization challenges of the present day.
