Dmowskiego Roundabout in Warsaw

The Dasag brand has contributed to the reconstruction of one of the most characteristic buildings in Warsaw, i.e. the Roman Dmowski Roundabout. For its renovation, PROMENADA PRATO concrete slabs with the 7449 pattern, which cover an area of 8670 square meters, were used.

The history of the roundabout dates back to December 30, 1970, when it was put into use. In 1995, the Warsaw Council named the building after Roman Dmowski. It is a classic four-entry roundabout with a round central island, the diameter of which is about 90 meters.

The surroundings of the facility are one of the busiest and crowded places in Warsaw. Under the roundabout there are underground pedestrian crossings with a shopping mall and an exit, through a small square (the so-called Frying Pan), to the Centrum metro station. At a distance of 250 meters there are entrances to the Warsaw Śródmieście railway station.

The reconstruction of the roundabout was carried out as part of the so-called New Center of Warsaw. It is a long-term program involving the transformation of streets and squares in the very center of the city into a friendly, aesthetic, green and safe space for all users. Due to their quality and high utility values, Dasag paving slabs, paving slabs and concrete materials were used not only during construction works at the Dmowskiego Roundabout, but also as part of other projects involving the NIT, such as the reconstruction of Five Corners Square or the renovation of Jana Pawła II Avenue.
