Stoewer Factory in Szczecin

A new life for the former Stoewer Factory in Szczecin

In the famous Bernhard Stoewer Factory before the closure in the 1930s, sewing machines, bicycles and typewriters were produced in Szczecin. However, the building, located at the corner of Krasińskiego and Niemcewicza Streets, was not used for a long time. Fortunately, it has recently gained a second life. Thanks to the developer Modehpolmo, who decided to buy the factory, a modern office building with the suggestive name Fabryka II was built on the site of Stoewer’s former production. The investment was implemented using Dasag precast concrete elements such as concrete stair treads and cladding of our brand.

There is no doubt that the concrete stairs offered by Dasag work best in interiors with a raw, industrial style – exactly like those that Factory II in Szczecin prides itself on. The building was renovated in accordance with the recommendations of the conservator of monuments – in a way that allowed to preserve its original, factory character. Therefore, raw ceilings were left in it and a beautiful red brick was discovered, from which the walls were built. The industrial style of the interiors perfectly fit into the interiors produced by our brand concrete stair treads and concrete cladding.

Dasag stair cladding is the culmination of the project of Factory II Szczecin

Factory II, as an office and service building, had to be characterized not only by an industrial character resulting from the history of the building, but also by elegance appropriate for its future function. For this reason, the investor decided to supplement raw forms such as Concrete E-stair treadsor block stairs with concrete cladding in fashionable patterns. On the site of the former Stoewer Factory in Niebuszew in Szczecin, there were also aesthetic stair cladding from Dasag.

For the purposes of the investment, we delivered:

  • Exterior stair cladding – model 7819
