Terrazzo slabs for floors, terraces, pavements, paths – an overview of solutions and prices

Modern terrazzo is back in favor, not only as tiles and slabs for finishing floors in an apartment or terraces in front of the house, but also in the form of window sills or stair cladding. Terrazzo, terrazzo, terrazzo – the material known under various names was hailed as an arrangement discovery in 2017. Since then, designers have been outdoing each other in its creative use. The PROBET-DASAG brand knows noble concrete and terrazzo like few others, so we decided to introduce you to our bestsellers, as well as approximate costs and prices if you are considering using terrazo in your projects.

Simply put, terrazzo is obtained from a combination of water, cement and grit. You can read more about how Terrazo is made, its history and advantages in the article on our blog entitled Tiles, window sills, stairs – terrazzo is back in favor. In this text, we will present our favorites, thanks to which we are able to create unique compositions and take advantage of the advantages of various patterns, colors and textures of this material.

Terrazzo tiles and slabs – patterns and price per m2

As we mentioned, terrazzo slabs can be used both indoors (most often in the bathroom and kitchen, but also in the living room, bedroom) or outdoors, as terrace slabs, paving slabs or a substrate for the driveway. The price of terrazzo slabs is not fixed and to find out the current costs of materials, we recommend that you read our price list, where you will find current information. In the text, we provide prices per m2 and the approximate price per tile, which are valid in 2021. However, it is worth remembering that these are base prices. The final valuation depends on the nature and size of the order, and attractive discounts are also possible.

Terrazzo interior plates

When it comes to terrazzo interior tiles, our customers fell in love with the Terrastone collection available in as many as 9 patterns and colors. The product owes its popularity to, among other things, its thickness. Terrastone terrazzo panels are made using an innovative technology that allows the production of large formats in a thickness reduced to just 20 mm. Another advantage is the large selection of plinth thicknesses, thanks to which the material is perfect for interior finishing. Architects love to use this collection in their projects not only for visual reasons – it does not have a base layer and is therefore even more similar to cut stone – but largely because of its lightness, which allows the tiles to fit into a variety of interior compositions. The price of terrazzo per m2 is currently PLN 183, and for a tile about PLN 45.

Terrazzo exterior slabs

When it comes to terrazzo for a terrace, path or promenade, we can recommend the sandblasted Madera Prato terrace slab, appreciated and praised by our customers. The material is available in 3 shades of gray and is very often ordered not only by individual customers as part of the house surroundings, but also for the needs of urban space for sidewalks and promenades. It is a classic non-slip terrazzo slab, which, due to its durability, versatility and price, has enjoyed unflagging popularity for years. If we are already talking about the cost of material, the price per m2 of terrazzo oscillates around PLN 104, while a single tile can be purchased for about PLN 25. Ordering products for a terrace of 40 square meters will therefore cost PLN 3120. Of course, transport and other materials such as edges, ballast, screed or adjustable pads should be added here, depending on the selected technology.

Another terrazzo bestseller in the category of sandblasted exterior slabs is the Promenada Prato collection, characterized by a distinct structure with visible noble aggregate and a slightly roughened surface. These boards are slightly thicker than the standard ones (they are 8 cm thick), which makes them suitable for use in places intended for vehicular traffic. This material is often recommended by urban planners and used in city squares, or as roads or driveways, as well as other public investments. However, there are no obstacles for the Prato Promenade series to also appear on private properties, creating a stable surface for terraces, sidewalks or driveways. Terrazzo from this series is available in five color variants and as many as six formats. The price per m2 corresponds to the thickness and strength of the material and is about PLN 204, and the cost of one board is about PLN 50. As we mentioned earlier, we are able to prepare large discounts for large orders. Therefore, we encourage city investors to take an interest in the collection, which has already successfully decorated many public investments.
